As Chairman of MediClarus, Sainath Vardhan brings visionary leadership, strategic insight, and a deep commitment to transforming healthcare revenue cycle management. With over a decade of experience in the medical billing and coding industry, Sainath has led MediClarus from a startup to a fast-growing organization serving providers across the United States.

His mission is clear: to blend innovation with operational excellence. Sainath believes in leveraging technology, certified talent, and streamlined processes to deliver measurable results for clients. Under his leadership, MediClarus focuses on simplifying complex billing operations so healthcare providers can prioritize patient care.

Ruben Cardenas is a forward-thinking healthcare executive who has driven transformational impact for Fortune 500 giants, such as Aetna CVS Health, United Healthcare, and Cigna. His impact across diverse and critical health plan metrics is credited to his penchant for competitive positioning, market expansion, and product innovation, combined with a passion for partnering internally and externally to move companies forward.

 

Mr. Cardenas is the Chief Healthcare Innovation and Healthcare Improvement Officer at Scalable Health, a pioneer in healthcare technology for organizations in the industry. His dual mission as a “Strategic Thought Leader” includes product innovation for health plans and providers and advising clients on a variety of topics, such as Medicare, Medicaid, commercial plans, value-based programs, risk stratification, and the member experience. He drove both company revenue and client success by developing analytics solutions that help improve clinical outcomes, operational efficiency, risk adjustment management, retention, and the member experience.

Previously, as the Chief Medicare Officer, Executive Director, and General Manager of Medicare for a four-state region at Aetna CVS Health, he positively impacted quality, sales, profitability, market share, and membership across Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial programs. He also raised Risk Adjustment Factors (RAF) and improved plan affordability. His prior career spans executive and other leadership roles at United Healthcare, where he tripled the P&L, and Cherokee Nation Healthcare Services, where he improved the market position by securing healthcare transformation business with federal, military, and commercial business partners. He also held roles of increasing responsibility at Cigna / HealthSpring / Bravo Health. He gained a CMS 5-star rating, directed teams new health plan start-ups, company acquisitions, spin-offs, market expansions and grew market contract footprints to 44%.

 

Mr. Cardenas’ background in healthcare services includes administering business and operations at the Family Medicine Clinic in Lampasas, TX and CFG Healthcare Management Group in San Antonio. That experience was supported by his time in the U.S. Air Force Reserves and United States Air Force, as an Executive Officer and Healthcare Administrator (Lieutenant Colonel).

 

He holds an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the University of Incarnate Word and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Healthcare Administration from Southwest Texas State University. He is a founding charter member of the Air Force Medical Service Corp Association. He enjoys volunteering as a community mentor for young Medical Service Corp Officers and high school students and as a caregiver mentor and volunteer with the Alzheimer’s Association.

With over a decade of experience in SMB finance and the U.S. healthcare sector, Shane Franz brings deep expertise in driving revenue growth, forging strategic partnerships, and scaling service-based businesses. As Chief Revenue Officer at Providersgear, Shane leads our U.S. market expansion, client acquisition strategies, and overall go-to-market execution.

Prior to joining Providersgear, Shane served as Director of Partnerships at Backd, where he successfully developed and managed financial solutions tailored for healthcare practices. Known for his strong relationship-building skills and results-driven approach, Shane plays a key role in aligning our services with the evolving needs of providers across the country.

Shane is based in Upstate New York and is committed to strengthening Providersgear’s presence and partnerships throughout the U.S. healthcare ecosystem.
